If you're not sure whether your credit is good or bad, you can get
your credit report for FREE!!
- As a Florida resident, you can get your report for free at www.annualcreditreport.com
- This site will only give you a report of account in good or bad standing. It will not give you a credit score or number unless you pay to upgrade. (Many sites will give you the score for FREE for 30 days! Just remember to call and cancel before the 30 days end.)
- This site will give you recommendations to improve your credit (ie. it's better to pay more than the minimum balance; it's better to pay a small amount consistently than nothing at all; don't keep a high balance on credit cards; have a variety of loans in good standing: credit cards, car loans, student loans, etc.)
- You will be able to check your credit one time a year with each of the credit reporting agencies: Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. You should check it once every 4 mos. from each agency. Equifax measures more accurately than the other two agencies.
Even employers check your credit score and sometimes your facebook profile to see what type of person they would be hiring.
